Bekroond door Jasper Morris met 4 sterren (94pt.) bij Inside Burgundy: "Cuvée Leonard Chandon is made from the best barrels given an extra year's ageing. Just bottled. Fractionally fuller yellow, the nose a little less striking than the aromatics of the regular 1er Cru, not a question of over-oaking but the detail is currently hidden by the extra elevage. The fruit breaks through the wood on the palate, but it is all much tighter. Waves of fruit keep coming back across the palate. Clearly very fine, just less striking right now. Drink from 2029-2040."
Ook 94 punten van Vinous: "It has wonderful purity on the nose: Crushed limestone mixed with peach skin, wild honey and orange blossom. Stunning delineation. The palate is beautifully balanced with deftly integrated new oak, silky smooth, with a touch of Indian spice on the aftertaste. Very special."
